The Hope Note Sometimes the pressure we’re feeling isn’t coming from the situation itself. It’s coming from the belief that we need to figure it all out right now. What’s the next step? We can spend so much emotional energy trying to solve tomorrow that we have very little left for today. But sometimes, clarity comes in pieces. God may give you enough light for the next step without showing you the entire path. And that can be uncomfortable—especially when you like certainty. But not knowing everything doesn’t mean you’re lost. Sometimes it simply means you’re still being led. Something to practice this week When you notice yourself trying to solve everything at once, ask: “What actually needs my attention today?” Not next month. Then give yourself permission to leave tomorrow where it belongs. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105 A lamp doesn’t illuminate the entire journey. It gives enough light to keep walking. Maybe that’s enough for today. Until next time, Deidra-Ann |

Sometimes we assume that tension means something is wrong. But here's something worth remembering: Not every change in a relationship is a sign that the...
Welcome to The Hope Note. I’ve been thinking lately about how quickly we can say yes. Someone asks for our help. Someone needs something. A request comes in—and sometimes before we’ve even considered what it will require of us, we’ve already agreed. And then later comes the thought: Why did I say yes to that? Sometimes the problem isn’t that we don’t know how to say no. We haven’t learned to give ourselves enough time to decide. One of the simplest boundary tools I teach is this: “Let me...
